As summer comes to an end, I wanted to recap all the recipes I have been baking in my kitchen over the past few months!
In addition to showcasing these recipes, I want to announce some new changes that will be coming to my blog in the coming weeks.

Now that my mouth is watering, I am excited to announce a few changes that will be coming to my blog in the coming weeks!
As many of you may not know, as well as being an indulgent baker I am also a Registered Dietitian (you can read more about me here).
When people hear that I am a dietitian and a baker, the first question they ask is ‘How do you balance your nutrition background with your passion for baking?’.
My answer is that I believe that there is room for most foods in a healthy diet, it is all about balance and moderation.
Yes, a large slice of cheesecake should not be an everyday food. But there is definitely room for it in moderation.
Since I am sure many of you have had the same questions, I wanted to bring more of my nutrition expertise to this blog. I plan on doing this in the following ways.
- I will write posts on several aspects of maintaining a balanced diet and answer any nutrition questions you may have. My first post will include tips to reduce sugar throughout the day so there is room to indulge on a sweet treat!
- Where applicable, I will add recipe variations for different dietary needs including dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free. These will be added to all current and future recipes, where the recipe does not have to be significantly altered.
Don’t worry, the one thing that will not change are my indulgent dessert recipes!
Indulgent dessert recipes are the foundation of my blog and they always will be! The changes mentioned above are in addition to delicious, decadent dessert recipes.
My hope is that the addition of these changes will give people a better understanding of how a balanced diet can be maintained, while still enjoying the sweet things in life!

Now, I am off to indulge in some of the fall recipes I have been testing. In addition to many new fall recipes, I plan on having a fall cookie series. Stay tuned 🙂
